Total clash between Trump and Musk. Could Giorgia Meloni be the mediator?

For months, the mainstream media pushed a narrative as convenient as it was false: Donald Trump was allegedly under Elon Musk’s thumb, desperate to keep him close and repay him for his support during the campaign. They repeated it like a mantra: «Trump is Musk’s puppet.»

Pundits said it, columnists wrote it, progressive influencers tweeted it — and even Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez chimed in, already testing her 2028 slogan: «Fighting the Oligarchy.» A Left that claims to fight billionaires… while loyally serving the most powerful one of all: George Soros.

Then reality hit like a ton of bricks.

Trump cut the electric vehicle subsidies included in the so-called Big Beautiful Bill. Musk — who has benefited from those incentives for years — reacted exactly as expected: with a furious rant on X, his own platform. «This bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it,» he wrote, tearing down the media myth: Trump was no one’s servant. It was Musk who believed he could dictate terms.

The conflict escalated rapidly. Just last Thursday, Musk went as far as claiming that Trump would have lost the election without his support — implying, not so subtly, that he expected a return on his investment. «Very disappointed in Elon,» Trump replied — calmly but coldly, like a man who sees the game for what it is.

You can’t lead a nation if you’re busy pleasing your friends. Here’s the raw truth: Trump is not for sale. Musk isn’t used to hearing “no.” But this isn’t just a personal fallout. It’s a head-on clash between two opposing worldviews.

On one side, Trump — like Giorgia Meloni — stands for sovereignty, nationhood, borders, and the primacy of politics over economics. On the other, the American Left and their European clones, kneeling to Soros, who pours billions into campaigns, parties, NGOs, media outlets, law firms, and digital platforms to advance his dystopian dream of an «open society» — borderless, identity-less, stateless.

And no, it’s no coincidence that when the Pentagon tried to involve Musk in a classified briefing about a possible war with China, Trump exploded: «What the fuck is Elon doing there?»

Because while America defends its interests, Musk builds Teslas in Shanghai, sells in Xinjiang, relies on China for 40% of his supply chain — and meanwhile tries to influence White House policy. He wanted his xAI included in U.S.-Emirates agreements. He wanted the FAA to adopt Starlink for air traffic control. He wanted tax credits for Tesla reinstated. And when he was told no? He lashed out.

Not as a patriot — but as a wounded businessman. Even tweeting that «Trump is in Epstein’s files.» Yeah, but if that were true, do you really think the Democrats would’ve waited this long to weaponize it? As for the media — they dropped their «oligarch controls Trump» narrative in a heartbeat and dove into the drama, rushing to paint the clash as a loss for Trump.

But let’s say it clearly: Trump chose America’s interests over Musk’s.
And in a world where politics is often the servant of wealth, that may cost him dearly — but it’s also what makes it priceless.

That said, we’d be dishonest not to acknowledge Musk’s historic contributions to the fight for free speech. With the acquisition of Twitter — now X — and the release of the Twitter Files, he did a tremendous service by exposing the censorship machine run by Democrats and Big Tech.

A machine built to erase, silence, and discredit any voice outside the woke monoculture.

But now, Donald Trump is president again — and the responsibility to lead is his alone.
And when it came time to choose between the interests of a powerful ally and those of the American people, he didn’t flinch.

The Left can keep hiding behind hollow slogans. The only real fight against the oligarchy is led by those who never kneel. It’s called patriotism. And it’s proven through action. So what now? Here’s a thought: Could it be that — alongside her role as a «bridge» between Europe and the U.S. — Giorgia Meloni, perhaps with help from J.D. Vance, might be the one to mend the rift between Trump and Musk? One thing’s for sure: If anyone can do it, it’s her.
